Apache Forrest Notes
Overview
Since this website is created with a customized version of the Apache Forrest content publishing system, some notes are provided here to summarize the necessary modifications to the Forrest stock distribution in the hope they might be useful to others.
Applicable to Forrest 0.7, pelt skin
All notes in this section apply to Apache Forrest 0.7 and were not tested
against any other release. The pelt skin was used as a basis.
In the next sections the following conventions will be used:
- {FORREST_HOME}:
- Top level directory of the Forrest distribution containing the README.txt file, e.g. apache-forrest-0.7
- {PROJECT_HOME}:
- Top level directory of your Forrest documentation containing the src directory and the forrest.properties file
List of modifications/customizations:
- Integration of a Google AdSense banner
- Integration of Google AdSense search
- Automatic generation of a Google Sitemap
- Fixed width <body>
- Integration of Impressum Information (Imprint)
- Avoid Menu Flicker in IE
- Navigation: Links to the top of the page
- Remove separator between second level tabs
- Reenable the External Link Image
